Wow, more new and exciting aspects of the Internet to explore. I can see the benefit, but I think I'dhave to use it frequently to be able to absorb all the wonderful features.

Tagging, Folksonomy and Technorati
Ahh, more time consuming Internet activities. The idea of tagging and Folksonomy opens new avenues and challenges. So exciting! I wish I had more time to play and explore. Soon, maybe?

VBPL & Social Networking with Teens
Teens are definitely into social networking, but will they want to interact with a library social networking site? Teens are busy interacting, blogging and networking with other teens. What could the library offer teens that they can't find on other sites? That's the question.

Staff Picks
Adding a book to Staff Picks wasn't difficult at all. Instructions were simple and easy to follow.
VBPL & IM
I think IM is a great service for VBPL to offer customers! I've used the live chat to ask the City of Va. Beach a question and found it very useful. Hopefully, our customers will use and enjoy this new service.

RSS
Well, I'm up to Week 4 and learning about RSS feeds & newsreaders. I like the idea of having these sent to one place, but I'm not sure I'll ever have time to read everything sent to me. Hmmmm...maybe after the holidays?

7 and 1/2 Habits
Viewing problems as challenges is probably the most difficult habit for me. It shouldn't be. As I look back at past challenges, I've managed to handle each of them. At the time I'm dealing with a problem, I don't necessarily see the end result, but I do know I'll make it there. And I seem to learn something from each challenge.
Having confidence in myself as a competent, effective learner is the easiest habit for me, especially if someone discourages me. It only makes me more determined to prove myself.
